"summary": "Netflix has announced that the new original Korean series Tantara will premiere on Dec. 11. The period drama is set between the 1960s and 1980s and follows Min-ja, a character played by Song Hye-kyo, as she overcomes poverty to enter the recording industry. Her childhood friend Dong-gu, played by Gong Yoo, supports her ambitions.\n\nAccording to The Korea Times, the cast also features Kim Seol-hyun, Cha Seung-won, Lee Hanee, and Na Moon-hee. The production marks the return of screenwriter Noh Hee-kyung after more than four years. Noh previously wrote Our Blues (2022) as well as Worlds Within (2008) and That Winter, the Wind Blows (2013), both of which starred Song.",
