"account": "Luca Marini will compete solo at the Phillip Island Grand Prix after Honda HRC Castrol runs out of replacement riders for injured and ill teammates. World champion Aleix Espargaró withdrew from the event in Indonesia due to arm pump, and will now undergo surgery in Barcelona. Development rider Somkiat Chantra was supposed to replace Espargaró at Motegi, but he is occupied with WorldSBK testing in Jerez. Takaaki Nakagami broke his collarbone in the same event and is also unavailable. Marini, who has remained consistent throughout his Honda tenure, has just five races left before switching to Tech3 KTM for the 2027 season. The Australian GP is his last opportunity to climb the championship standings, currently sitting 12th with five rounds remaining.",
"summary": "All other options are either sick, injured, or otherwise occupied Photos by Honda. Honda HRC Castrol will put only one factory bike on the Phillip Island grid this weekend, with Luca Marini the team's sole representative as injury and illness troubles deepen.
