"summary": "Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain recently revealed that he declined an invitation to play golf with Donald Trump. According to Consequence, the offer came via a friend of McBrain's who is a \"massive Republican.\" McBrain stated that he turned down the request, noting that he is \"not amused by the narcissism\" and referenced the \"kerfuffle\" regarding the Epstein files.\n\nVariety reports that McBrain's refusal was due to his \"staunch anti-MAGA beliefs.\" In an interview with The Telegraph, McBrain expressed that Trump and his \"bunch of cronies\" should be put in jail. Consequence notes that McBrain also commented on the situation regarding Pete Hegseth and described a \"debauched war\" Trump put on Iran.\n\nMcBrain retired from Iron Maiden in late 2024 after 42 years with the band. He is currently promoting his upcoming memoir, Hello Boys and Girls!, which is scheduled for release on November 10th.",
