"account": "Jeff Garlin discussed his mental health challenges in a recent interview, revealing he had sent a suicide note to co-star Susie Essman before beginning his journey to recovery. During a recent appearance on Ted Danson's SiriusXM show, Garlin discussed a \"nervous breakdown\" he experienced while filming the final season of his ABC sitcom, \"The Goldbergs.\" He attributed his departure from the show to a disagreement over product placement, which led to an abrupt exit from the set. Garlin claimed that he faced resentment from the cast and crew over the deal, which ultimately led to his breakdown. He remembered reaching out to Essman, saying he would be dead at noon that day, and his friends Marla Garlin and Sari Tracht working with him to find a suitable treatment facility. Garlin chose a facility in Cincinnati, where he started therapy and medication for his bipolar disorder, helping him overcome his suicidal thoughts. Over five years later, he has since regained his mental health and is \"feeling really good.\" However, he lamented that no one at Sony, the production company behind \"The Goldbergs,\" reached out to check on his well-being during his time off the show.",
