"summary": "Paris police have banned protests in several areas for Thursday, including the Elysee presidential palace, Bastille Square, both houses of parliament, and tourist sites such as the Louvre and the Champs-Elysees. According to DW English (Top Stories), a curfew will be in place between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. local time. This follows a period of violent unrest involving masked rioters, looting, and clashes with police, which began with student protests over education reform and high prices. Interior Minister Laurent Nunez admitted on Monday that authorities failed to anticipate the scale of the violence.\n\nPresident Emmanuel Macron has accused foreign leaders of spreading misinformation online and attempting to exploit the unrest for political gain, according to The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald. This comes as US President Donald Trump attributed the unrest to migrants and jihad, according to DW English (Top Stories). Punch Nigeria also reported that Macron criticised Trump for exploiting the situation.\n\nPrime Minister Sebastien Lecornu has pledged a massive security deployment as large-scale protests are expected in Paris this weekend, per DW English (Top Stories). NDTV notes that the government is bracing for this fresh wave of demonstrations.",
