"account": "Senator Ajibola Basiru, the National Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed confidence in President Bola Tinubu's ability to campaign for the 2027 presidential election. He emphasized that Tinubu is \"fit as a fiddle\" and has spent considerable time with him, even staying up late into the night. Basiru, who serves as the Deputy Secretary of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, made these remarks during an interview on Channels TV's Politics Today program. This comes after opposition members questioned Tinubu's physical fitness, raising concerns about his capability to campaign for a second term from the Aso Villa.\n\nBasiru also criticized former Vice President Atiku Abubakar's presidential ambitions, comparing him to Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga. He stated that Atiku is conducting his final campaign attempt and should accept the fact that the Nigerian people will not support him. Earlier, the African Action Congress (AAC) requested the use of the Presidential Villa in Abuja for their Presidential Campaign Council event ahead of the 2027 general elections. However, Basiru dismissed this request, urging Atiku's presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore to get elected to the House of Assembly before he could be taken seriously by Nigerians. Basiru dismissed Sowore's efforts as mere skits and mocked him as a comedian.",
