"account": "The Western Regional Minister of Ghana, Joseph Nelson, has disclosed efforts to secure the return of seven missing fishermen aboard the fishing canoe, Second Chance. The crew's location was confirmed to be within Togolese territorial waters, prompting the Togo Navy to be notified. Initial search and rescue operations commenced on Monday, October 19, following reports of the missing crew on Sunday, October 18. The Western Regional Marine Police Command is coordinating efforts involving the Ghana Navy, the Ghana Maritime Authority, the Fisheries Commission, coastal police stations, and fishing communities. The canoe's owner reported the incident on Sunday, October 18, stating the vessel departed Sekondi on Friday, October 9, for a fishing expedition offshore Axim but failed to return. Preliminary investigations suggest the crew might have encountered engine failure at sea, causing the canoe to drift towards Tema and the Volta coast. Authorities are engaged with Togolese naval authorities to ensure the safe return of the missing fishermen to Ghana.",
