"account": "Broda Shaggi, the popular Nollywood actor and comedian better known as Samuel Perry, shared his harrowing experience of surviving a stray bullet injury that kept him away from work for months. In a YouTube video, the comedian recounted the incident that occurred while he was filming a comedy skit under the Sango-Ota bridge in Ogun State in March 2026. The exact circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, though a police source confirmed that Shaggi sustained a gunshot wound. However, the Ogun State Police Command stated they could not confirm the incident's location within the state. Ogun State Police spokesperson Oluseyi Babaseyi urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information as the investigation continued.\n\nIn the video, Shaggi described his initial state of panic upon realizing he had been shot, saying he was unconscious when he reached the first hospital. He recounted praying throughout the journey to ensure he would receive medical attention. The comedian's primary concern was his ability to continue his career, especially given the physical demands of dancing, singing, and playing the drums. Shaggi lamented the possibility of losing his ability to perform and expressed worry over how audiences might react if he could no longer entertain them.\n\nDuring his time in the hospital, Shaggi tried to stay occupied by writing and starting a YouTube series. He worried about his future in entertainment, reflecting on how his colleagues' ongoing work contrasted with his own uncertainty about returning to the stage. After surgery in Nigeria, Shaggi was told he would need further treatment and physiotherapy. He decided to seek additional care in Dubai, where his recovery progressed rapidly. After four months, he was able to stand with support and walk with crutches within the third day.\n\nDespite the trauma, Shaggi remains hopeful and grateful for his survival. He expressed gratitude for being alive and emphasized the importance of his fans continuing to support him. He promised new projects and urged his followers to look forward to his return, stating that he has several exciting undertakings in the works.",
