"account": "National Democratic Congress (NDC) Deputy General Secretary Mustapha Gbande has begun the process of seeking re-election to his position as the party prepares to select its national executives. During a media interview on Wednesday, October 21, Mr Gbande explained that his intent to run for re-election was motivated by a desire to bolster the party's position ahead of the 2028 general elections. He urged delegates and party members to assess his candidacy based on his proven track record of service, loyalty, and dedication to the NDC. \"Experience matters. What I know is loyalty and dedicated service,\" he emphasized. While acknowledging that his tenure in office might not have been without challenges, Mr Gbande maintained that he had consistently focused on fulfilling the duties assigned to him by the party's leadership. He pledged to leverage his experience to enhance his performance if awarded another term, stating, \"I will come back more polished, stronger to discharge a better responsibility for the party.\" Mr Gbande also reflected on his work as an operations officer for the NDC during his time within the government. He used the opportunity to issue an apology to anyone who may have been affected by his actions while fulfilling his duties.",
