The union's National Publicity Secretary, Kehinde Taiga, conveyed condolences to Uduaghan's family, the Itsekiri Nation, and the government and people of Delta State. The union praised Uduaghan for his distinguished medical background, political career, and dedication to placing human welfare at the forefront of governance. They recalled his service as Commissioner for Health, Secretary to the State Government, and Governor from 2007 to 2015. The union highlighted several initiatives introduced during his tenure, such as free healthcare for pregnant women and children under five, the Uduaghan Buses mass transit scheme, and efforts to improve education, infrastructure, and human capital development. They also acknowledged his Delta Beyond Oil vision, which aimed to diversify the state's economy through various sectors. The union urged Deltans to support the bereaved family and maintain unity and peace, praying for the family's strength and the peaceful repose of Uduaghan's soul.",
