"summary": "Experts have warned Nigerians against panicking following the first confirmed case of the Ebola virus. According to Punch Nigeria, experts suggest that efforts should instead be focused on educating the public regarding preventive measures. This advice was shared by journalists on the sidelines of the 11th National Conference on Environment and Health in Osogbo.\n\nThe Federal Government has also urged citizens to practice proper hand hygiene, follow preventive healthcare habits, and cooperate with public health officials to contain the imported case, according to Daily Trust. Speaking at the inaugural National Self-Care Conference in Abuja, the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako, encouraged Nigerians to monitor their health conditions and seek professional medical attention when necessary.\n\nDr. Salako described self-care as a critical tool for preventing disease and reducing pressure on hospitals, noting that it includes healthy eating, physical activity, and adherence to prescribed medication. However, the minister cautioned that self-care should not serve as a substitute for professional medical services.",
