"account": "Dončić's potential reception in Los Angeles is a topic of discussion, similar to the challenges LeBron James faced during his eight-year tenure with the Lakers. James, who led the franchise to their first championship in 10 years in 2020 before leaving for the 76ers in free agency, struggled to win over Lakers fans who still held onto a \"Kobe is better\" mentality. However, Austin Reaves believes Luka Dončić's situation may play out differently. Reaves, speaking to the California Post, noted that while Lakers fans may have hated LeBron during his time there, they didn't necessarily reject him. But with Dončić, there's no such underlying tension. \"Not that they didn't accept him when he was here, but they still probably had the ‘Kobe is better’ type of mentality. But they don't have that with Luka. He was kind of after Kobe. They don't have a reason not to embrace him like a Kobe or someone else who was a Laker legend.\"",
