"account": "A recent UCLA study reveals that YouTube has emerged as the leading storytelling platform for Gen Z and Gen Alpha, the two youngest generations. Researchers surveyed over 1,500 individuals aged 10 to 24 about their media consumption habits and opinions on various forms of entertainment. Notably, 72.9% of participants ranked YouTube as their preferred medium for storytelling, dwarfing the influence of traditional TV and movies. Short-form videos ranked second, followed by TV shows, movies, and video games. The study also explored young people's attitudes towards artificial intelligence (AI), finding that most view AI-related content as \"fascinating\" and express enthusiasm rather than fear. However, older participants aged 19 and up reported higher levels of negative emotions, with 27.4% expressing \"doom\" when considering AI. The study's senior author, Yalda T. Uhls, emphasized that young people are now the primary decision-makers in shaping the content they consume. This shift is evident in the popularity of casting unknown actors over influencers. Additionally, the study found that relatable, uplifting stories are most desired, with neurodivergent characters and platonic relationships gaining more traction.",
