"account": "Karolina Muchova clinched the final spot at the WTA Finals after fellow player Marta Kostyuk retired during the second round of the Ningbo Open on Wednesday. The WTA Tour had determined that Kostyuk needed to advance to the finals in Ningbo in order for Muchova to not secure the spot for the Nov. 8-15 event in Indian Wells, California.\n\nMuchova, who isn't participating in the current tournament, had already made history by reaching the Wimbledon final and then winning the Billie Jean King Cup with the Czech Republic. Meanwhile, Iga Swiatek withdrew from the Ningbo tournament due to a thigh injury, and announced she would be ending her season early.\n\nElena Rybakina, Aryna Sabalenka, Mirra Andreeva, Jessica Pegula, Coco Gauff, Elina Svitolina and Linda Noskova are the other players who qualified for the finals. Alexandrova will face Leylah Fernandez in a quarterfinal match after defeating Aliaksandra Sasnovich 7-5, 6-7 (3), 6-3 to win her 11th win in her last 14 matches. Sara Bejlek upset eighth-seeded Sorana Cirstea 7-6 (3), 6-4 and advances to an all-Czech quarterfinal match with Marie Bouzkova, who beat Anastasia Zakharova 7-5, 6-2.",
