"summary": "Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has criticised Vice-President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang for her lack of public comment on sexual abuse allegations at Obuasi Senior High Technical School (SHTS). Aboagye argued that her silence was disappointing, especially considering her position as Ghana's first female Vice-President and her responsibility to advocate for the safety and welfare of women and girls. The allegations, which involve Zakaria Abdulai, the headmaster of SHTS, have led to the suspension and interdiction of Abdulai due to gross sexual misconduct and abuse involving multiple female students. The police were alerted by a 20-year-old Form Two student who, along with her father, reported the incident to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) in Obuasi on August 4, 2026.",
