"account": "Adriana Díaz, a Spanish international forward, has entered Ohio State women's basketball and is poised to make a significant impact from the start of the 2026-27 season. Standing at 6-foot-1, Díaz brings a versatile skill set that includes strong defensive abilities, the capacity to score from beyond the arc, and the skill to play both the inside and outside. In her freshman season, Díaz averaged 8.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game during the U18 Eurobasket Championship, showcasing her readiness for the collegiate level. With Ohio State's head coach Kevin McGuff expecting her to contribute to the team's strong defensive strategy and offensive plays, Díaz is expected to be a key player for the Buckeyes, especially in scenarios where the starting two bigs, Kylee Kitts and Elsa Lemmilä, are unavailable due to injury or fatigue.",
"summary": "If what Adriana Díaz’s teammates say is true, the Spanish international will begin a historic career as a Buckeye freshman",
