"account": "The alleged targeted attack on local federal MP Helen Haines has left the small Victorian town of Wangaratta reeling. First responders praised Haines' bravery as she was struck outside her electorate office on Monday. Brendan Nugent, from nearby Tarrawingee, has been charged with three offences related to the incident. Jacob Evans and Jacklyn Black, who were visiting the area, rushed to assist Haines after the attack, with Black applying a tourniquet to her leg. Haines underwent emergency surgery but lost one of her legs. The community, known for its high volunteer rates, was shocked by the incident and many are asking for privacy as they process the events. Nugent appeared in court on Wednesday, with his lawyer mentioning potential mental health issues, but he was remanded in custody to appear again in February.",
