"summary": "US President Donald Trump has unveiled a $25 million whistleblower programme aimed at encouraging citizens to report fraud against taxpayer funds. Under the new Fraud Whistleblower Incentive Program, tipsters could receive a 1% commission on any recovered funds, with the maximum payout being $30,000 for a successful fraud conviction or significant federal enforcement action. To qualify for a reward, the information must lead to a conviction or enforcement action, rather than simply submitting an allegation. While Trump initially suggested that journalists could also participate, it is now unclear if they will be eligible for rewards under the programme. The initiative aims to bolster the government's ongoing efforts to combat fraud in federal benefits programmes, with Trump stating that he would personally oversee the distribution of rewards.",
