"account": "The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has sentenced 147 football club officials to 45-day bans for violating betting rules. These officials, including those from Trabzonspor, were disciplined for placing bets while serving in their positions. The TFF suspended a total of 448 people in September, referring them to their professional football disciplinary board. This action followed allegations that these individuals engaged in betting activities during their roles. The rules against match officials participating in betting, as well as those of FIFA and UEFA, are strictly enforced. Among those banned, 147 had served at clubs in the top two divisions of Turkish football over the past five years. While 301 cases lacked sufficient grounds for disciplinary action, the Turkish football authorities have been increasingly vigilant in combating betting within the sport. In November 2025, the TFF handed out bans to 149 referees and 1,204 players.",
