"account": "Spencer Medick, the Yankees' pitching coach for their Triple-A affiliate from 2022 to 2025, is set to move on to new pastures. Medick, 35, has accepted a position as the director of pitching for the Houston Astros. This transfer comes amidst a period of significant change at the Astros, who recently fired both their general manager and manager. In 2026, the Astros have been cutting back on their full-time analytics personnel, despite a history of relying on data-driven decision-making. Medick's career has included stints as a pitching coach with the Yankees, Florida Complex League Yankees, Hudson Valley Renegades, and most recently, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. Prior to his time in the Yankees' organization, he worked as a throwing trainer at Driveline Baseball from 2019 to 2021.",
