The meetings took place on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 and involved representatives from CIMPOR Cement Africa, Huaguang New Energy Battery Ghana and Zema New Energy Limited.\n\nDuring a meeting with CIMPOR Cement Africa's CEO, Yasin Tekinarslan, discussions focused on tax relief for the production and use of calcined clay. This substance could help Ghana reduce its reliance on imported clinker, a key component in cement production. The Minister expressed enthusiasm for initiatives that utilize locally available raw materials to promote affordable housing and address the country's housing deficit.\n\nIn a separate engagement, Ofosu-Adjare spoke with Huaguang New Energy Battery Ghana about workers' welfare and quality standards. The government has consistently demonstrated its commitment to supporting local manufacturing.",
