"account": "Minisforum’s Thunderbolt 5 dock, the DEG2 external GPU docking station, is now available for $219, a significant discount from its original price of $399. This docking station is designed to enhance the video editing experience for users of mini PCs or laptops equipped with Thunderbolt 5, USB4, or OCuLink ports. By providing a full-length PCIe x16 slot for a desktop graphics card, as well as Thunderbolt 5 and OCuLink connections with a physical switch to toggle between them, the DEG2 offers desktop-class GPU acceleration.\n\nIn addition to the PCIe x16 slot, the DEG2 includes an M.2 2280 SSD slot for extra project storage and supports a spare GPU and power supply. However, it’s important to note that to use this docking station, you'll need a mini PC with an OCuLink or USB4 port and a spare GPU. The DEG2 takes a standard ATX or SFX power supply, making it a versatile solution for expanding the capabilities of your mini PC setup.",
"summary": "Minisforum’s DEG2 dock lets you run a full-size desktop graphics card over Thunderbolt 5 or OCuLink, which gives video editors much faster effects and exports.",
