"account": "Spotify has recently introduced AI Persona badges for AI-generated artists and removed over 75 million spammy tracks from its platform. The company also removed more than 50 million low-quality tracks from recommendations, and labeled thousands of artist profiles with AI Persona badges. Artists who release AI-assisted songs are given the option to indicate the use of AI in the song credits.\n\nSpotify's strategy to combat AI-generated slop and spam involves combining various signals, including listener engagement, upload patterns, metadata, and data from multiple third-party AI detection tools. While no single signal is enough to identify spammers, using these signals together increases the confidence in spotting likely slop or spam. The company also actively hunts for new tactics such as mass uploads, duplicates, SEO manipulation, spammy playlist networks, and artificially short tracks.\n\nAs generative AI continues to evolve, the limitations of AI detection technology will become even more apparent. Spotify acknowledges that staying ahead of spammers will require continuous updates to their systems. The company remains committed to maintaining the integrity of its platform by adapting to the ever-changing landscape of AI-generated music.",
