"summary": "According to a report from Fortune, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma is overseeing plans for a major overhaul of Game Pass. The company is also reportedly planning to launch a next-generation handheld device by the 2027 holiday season.\n\nThe next-generation Xbox console, codenamed Project Helix, is expected to launch during the 2028 holiday season. Fortune reports that Microsoft projects the Project Helix console could cost consumers between $1,200 and $1,800 unless the company chooses to subsidize the hardware.\n\nThe Verge notes that Sharma has described Project Helix as a “family of devices,” which may indicate the next console iteration includes more than one piece of hardware. Microsoft and AMD previously announced a multi-year partnership to work on a portfolio of devices, including the next-generation console.",
