Police spokesman SP Tochukwu Ikenga disclosed that armed men, allegedly armed with AK-47 rifles, obstructed the road and sporadically opened fire in an apparent attempt to abduct unsuspecting motorists. Ikenga credited the joint security team's timely intervention for disrupting the criminals' plans and successfully foiling the attempted abduction. Police Commissioner CP Nnanna Oji Ama praised the officers for their swift response and professionalism in thwarting the criminals' alleged mission, vowing to continue intelligence-led security operations to dismantle criminal networks and protect lives and property in the state. Residents are urged to remain vigilant, report suspicious activities to authorities, and cooperate with law enforcement as efforts to ensure road safety continue.",
