"account": "The Nigerian Presidency has introduced the North West Climate Fund to finance the region's response to climate pressures, including flooding and drought. Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement for the North-West, Abdullahi Yakasai, revealed that the fund aims to raise about N20 billion within the next four years. The fund, alongside a climate academy and a climate investment marketplace, was unveiled at the North West Climate Summit in Abuja. The summit, themed 'Accelerating Global Climate Solutions: Unlocking Land, Water & Energy Systems,' is the first of its kind in Nigeria and across Africa. The fund will mobilize grants, impact capital, and carbon finance for climate resilience and women-led green enterprises. This initiative comes as climate change is increasingly recognized as a global issue, with climate financing gaining prominence following the COVID-19 pandemic.",
