"account": "The Tanimu Turaki-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has firmly ruled out forming any alliance with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections. The party's National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, stated in a recent statement that PDP's principled members would not support President Bola Tinubu's re-election or endorse the policies of the APC-led Federal Government. This stance comes after the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and the National Leader of the Abdulrahman Mohammed-led PDP, maintained their commitment to working for Tinubu's re-election. The Turaki-led interim National Working Committee (INWC) reacted to these developments by branding those promoting an alliance between the two parties as pretenders who are working for the governing party. The INWC emphasized that opposition parties should focus on providing an alternative to the incumbent and not collaborate with the ruling party, as such a partnership poses a significant threat to electoral democracy and could lead Nigeria towards an \"electoral monarchy.\" The PDP urged true and faithful members to remain steadfast and await the judiciary's decision, hoping that it will return the party to its rightful owners. The party's case at the Court of Appeal has already been heard, and they await the judgment.",
