"account": "According to a report by The Athletic, the NFL will not impose any penalties on the Philadelphia Eagles for the medical clearance process that allowed Jalen Hurts to play in Week 5 despite having a superficial blood clot. A league source, speaking anonymously due to lack of authorization, confirmed to Jonathan Jones that the league deemed the process \"handled appropriately.\" Moreover, the Eagles will not face punishment for not designating Hurts as injured prior to the game. Hurts has since been diagnosed with blood clots in both lungs, ruling him out for the rest of the season. The NFL's decision answers two key questions regarding Hurts' availability against the Jacksonville Jaguars: the appropriateness of his medical clearance and whether the Eagles should have given him an injury designation. Neither issue will lead to disciplinary action. While the report did not offer further specifics on the medical findings or a timeline for Hurts' recovery, the decision clears the Eagles of any potential league punishment as they prepare to continue their campaign without their starting quarterback. The loss of Hurts, already coupled with a string of injuries, adds another significant hurdle to the already challenged Philadelphia offense heading into their NFC East games.",
