"summary": "Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has suffered a significant loss with the death of a captain in the Qandil mountains along the Iran-Iraq border. The Rudaw media network reported that the officer was killed amid heightened tensions between Iranian forces and Kurdish opposition groups, specifically the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK), which is considered affiliated with the PKK. The IRGC has not disclosed the circumstances of the officer's death, but they refer to him as a \"martyr.\" This incident comes as the IRGC intensifies military operations against the PJAK in the Shaho mountain range in western Iran, using artillery and drones for attacks. The death of the IRGC officer has raised questions about the potential for increased clashes between Iran and the Kurdish opposition group in the region.",
