"account": "An AMD engineering sample of a mysterious Zen 6 APU has surfaced in a benchmark listing, potentially indicating its role in AMD's upcoming Gainsborough family and a possible next-generation Steam Deck handheld console. The six-core, 12-thread processor is paired with an impressive 24GB of LPDDR5 memory, a significant upgrade from the current Steam Deck's 16GB LPDDR5 memory. The chip's high-speed memory runs at 9,600 MT/s, a stark contrast to the original Steam Deck's 6,400 MT/s. While the integrated GPU's architecture and compute unit count remain unidentified, its clock speed is reported at 2,400 MHz. The sample's performance in benchmark tests, such as GiMark, FurMark, and TessMark, suggests that it holds promise for improved gaming capabilities in future handheld devices. However, AMD and Valve have not confirmed any connection between the Gainsborough family and a future Steam Deck, so further concrete information is needed before drawing any definitive conclusions.",
"summary": "The engineering sample features six CPU cores, 24GB of LPDDR5 memory running at 9,600 MT/s, and an integrated GPU clocked at 2.4 GHz, although its connection to a future Steam Deck remains unconfirmed.",
