"account": "Online services for several U.K. banks in and around London experienced disruption on Tuesday due to a Google Cloud outage. The cloud outages began shortly after 2 a.m. Eastern, or 6:08 a.m. GMT. The central location of the outage is London, but the impact could extend beyond the U.K. if apps in other countries rely on London-based infrastructure. Google Cloud acknowledged the issue and stated that their engineering team was actively investigating. U.K. banks that reported disruptions included Lloyds, Halifax, HSBC, and Revolut. Revolut confirmed the service disruption, assured customers that their money and data were safe, and apologized for any inconvenience caused. There were also reported outages in other European regions, but their connection to the Google Cloud outage remains unclear. Google Cloud promised an update around 8 a.m. Eastern time.",
