"account": "Negeri Sembilan recorded fewer online crime cases and lower losses in the first nine months of the year, according to police statistics. The total number of online crime cases dropped by 10 percent to 2,539, from 2,807 cases in the same period last year. Financial losses also decreased by RM33.58 million to RM39.86 million. However, e-commerce fraud cases rose by 24 percent to 828, while cases involving non-existent loans increased by 11 percent to 404. Investment scam cases fell by 20 percent to 298, and phone scam cases decreased by 28 percent to 784. Police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad credited the decline to public awareness programs, enforcement efforts, and strategic collaborations, particularly those targeting phone scams and investment fraud. He advised the public to remain vigilant and verify information before making transactions, urging them to use available resources like the National Scam Response Centre hotline and the Semak Mule portal to protect themselves from scams.",
