"account": "Shane Bieber, the Toronto Blue Jays' starting pitcher, is set to become an unrestricted free agent after completing his second year of a two-year, $26 million contract. The Blue Jays missed the postseason last season and failed to defend their American League Championship title, which saw the departure of several players, including pitchers Kevin Gausman and Jeff Hoffman. Despite the setbacks, MLB analyst Keegan Matheson suggests that the Blue Jays could have an interesting way to bring Bieber back without a significant financial commitment. Matheson notes that Bieber, 31, is the most attractive name among the Blue Jays' pending free agents, but his next contract might look different due to his injury-shortened seasons. Matheson indicates that incentives related to innings pitched could be attractive to both the team and player, similar to how the Blue Jays used incentives for innings pitched with Scherzer. Bieber's 2026 season produced a 4.37 ERA over 11 starts, after which he exercised his $16 million option for 2026. He has previously achieved success, winning the American League Cy Young Award in 2020 after a strong season with 18 wins, a 2.94 ERA, and 249 strikeouts.",
