"account": "Ghana Football Association (GFA) Communications Director Henry Asante Twum discussed the factors considered when appointing Kim Lars Björkegren to lead the interim Black Stars technical team for the November 2026 window. The selection prioritized continuity and institutional memory, focusing on coaches involved in the Ghana Premier League and those with technical expertise within Ghana’s national team structure. Asante Twum explained that after evaluating these criteria, they chose Björkegren. The Swedish coach, currently managing the Black Queens, will serve as an assistant coach alongside Ibrahim Tanko and Godwin Attram, with Fatawu Dauda appointed as the goalkeepers’ coach. The interim team's primary objective is to prepare the Black Stars for their November fixtures against Somalia, providing the search committee more time to find a permanent head coach. Björkegren's appointment, despite his current responsibility for the Black Queens, combines international coaching experience and familiarity with Ghanaian football while maintaining continuity within the national team setup. The immediate focus of the interim technical team will be to bolster the Black Stars' chances ahead of their crucial matches against Somalia, aiming to revitalize their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.",
