"account": "Kim Petras has spoken out against the negative comments made towards Hunter Schafer regarding her recent gender-affirming bottom surgery. In a post on X, the German pop star expressed her concern over the \"weird a– sh–\" directed at the Euphoria star. Petras applauded Schafer's bravery for speaking about her experience with vaginoplasty, stating that it exposes the \"gross ways in which trans women get fetishized.\" She elaborated on her own struggles with gender-affirming care, mentioning that she faced prejudice while seeking the same procedure. Despite the controversy surrounding bottom surgery, studies indicate that it can significantly alleviate gender dysphoria and the mental health issues that often accompany it. Dr. Joshua D. Safer, an expert in transgender medicine, emphasized that such surgeries are typically reserved for adults and that regret among surgery recipients is rare, with most attributing it to a lack of support from their surroundings. Petras' advocacy for trans rights and her own battles with prejudice while pursuing bottom surgery have made her a powerful voice in the ongoing discourse around transgender healthcare.",
