"account": "The Charlotte Hornets and guard/forward Brandon Miller have reached a five-year, $209 million contract extension, according to a person familiar with the negotiations who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity. Miller, a 23-year-old 6-foot-7 player, has averaged 19 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3 assists per game across his first three seasons with the team. His shooting form from beyond the arc has been 37.3% this season. Miller, who was drafted by the Hornets in 2023, is anticipated to assume a more significant scoring responsibility this season following the team's trade of LaMelo Ball to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Miller's previous season saw him tally 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game, despite battling a shoulder injury.",
