"account": "The Charlotte Hornets have reached a five-year, $209 million contract extension with guard/forward Brandon Miller, according to an AP source. The deal was finalized, though the team had not announced it at the time of the report. Standing at 6-foot-7, Miller has shown his worth over the past three seasons, averaging 19 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3 assists per game. His shooting accuracy from beyond the arc stands at 37.3%. Last season, he put up impressive numbers of 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game; however, he grappled with a shoulder injury. As the Hornets traded away LaMelo Ball to the Minnesota Timberwolves, Miller is anticipated to shoulder an even larger scoring burden this season. Being the 2nd overall pick by the Hornets in the 2023 NBA draft, he was chosen ahead of San Antonio’s Victor Wembanyama. The Hornets kick off their season on Wednesday, facing off against the Brooklyn Nets.",
