"account": "Men's mental health charity Men's Action Network (MAN) has offered to meet Derry City footballer James McClean after he stated that he sees seeking therapy as a sign of weakness. McClean made the comments during an interview with the Sunday Independent, stating that he had never tried therapy because \"as a man, I would see that as a weakness.\" McClean's wife, Erin, responded on social media, saying she had been strongly encouraging him to seek therapy due to his struggles. McClean has been distanced from his club, Derry City, over a contract dispute. The club has distanced itself from McClean's views and agreed to meet with MAN. MAN representative Michael Lynch stated that the charity welcomes the opportunity to meet with McClean to discuss the importance of encouraging men to feel comfortable seeking support when they need it. Lynch emphasized that asking for help is not a sign of weakness and that it takes bravery for men to recognize they need support and act on it. The club has stated that McClean's views do not reflect their core values or beliefs and actively encourages anyone facing mental health challenges to seek support.",
