"summary": "President Bola Tinubu has approved an 18-month extension of the tenures of the Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuche, and the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Kemi Nanna Nandap. The extension, disclosed by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, aims to address a succession gap and provide ample time for the appointment of successors. Nwakuche and Nandap were commended for the reforms achieved under their leadership, and President Tinubu urged them to consolidate these gains. Nwakuche was nominated in December 2024 and confirmed by the Senate in March 2025, while Nandap was nominated in February 2024 and confirmed in March 2024.",
