"account": "The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), in collaboration with the Joint Task Force's Operation HADIN KAI, carried out a precision air strike in the Lake Chad region on October 19, 2026, as reported by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information. The strike targeted a terrorist hideout and resulted in the neutralisation of several high-ranking Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) members, such as Jindullah and Abul Kissa. In addition to eliminating key personnel, the operation destroyed critical logistical resources, including boat engines and motorcycles, which were used by the group to facilitate their movements. The successful operation demonstrates the NAF's commitment to utilizing intelligence-led precision strikes to degrade terrorist networks and enhance security across Nigeria's North-East. Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, reaffirmed the NAF's dedication to maintaining decisive air operations against terrorist networks, supporting the restoration of peace and stability in the country. The Nigerian Air Force continues to collaborate with other security agencies to protect vulnerable communities and advance towards lasting peace and security in the North-East.",
