"account": "CNN’s chief international anchor, Christiane Amanpour, announced her departure from the network after 43 years of service. In a statement, Amanpour, who is 68 years old, expressed her gratitude to the organization that has been her partner for four decades. She said she looks forward to new projects and remains committed to CNN's tradition of independent journalism. CNN Chairman Mark Thompson praised Amanpour as \"one of the most trusted and beloved journalists anywhere\" and announced that the network would take time to celebrate her before her departure next year. Amanpour joined CNN in 1983 and has been a well-known correspondent, covering numerous conflicts and wars, including the First Gulf War, the Bosnian War, Rwanda, Afghanistan, Ukraine, and Iran. She has also hosted her own nightly interview program on CNN International since 2009. Thompson thanked Amanpour for her 43 years of remarkable journalism, loyalty, and friendship. In her own statement, Amanpour thanked her colleagues and field crews for their support during her career. She recalled her early assignments, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, camaraderie, and truth-seeking in journalism.",
