"account": "A New Delhi magistrate extended the detention of two leaders of India's youth-led Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) movement by two days on Monday. The leaders, Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das, were initially remanded in custody five days ago. They have been protesting the alleged manipulation of voter rolls by the country's election commission to favor Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ruling party. Despite a security crackdown, the CJP activists have continued their demonstrations, accusing the election body of wrongdoing. The pair was taken into custody on October 14 for their \"alleged repeated attempts to disturb public peace and violate the law.\" They are said to have jumped security barricades to wave the national flag at Jantar Mantar, a protest site that police have restricted access to. The site has been fenced off with yellow metal barriers for over a week, guarded by security personnel. Delhi police claim they have removed Jantar Mantar from the list of permitted protest locations. Ratna Singh, the movement's legal affairs head, expressed outrage at the \"mockery of the justice system.\"",
