"account": "HBO's DC Universe series Lanterns offers a fresh and unique take on the superhero genre, departing from the typical hijinks to embrace gritty realism reminiscent of True Detective or Slow Horses. The reviewer was pleased with this departure and ultimately found the season to be a worthwhile and emotionally powerful experience. Despite the initial review bombing, the finale proved that the show delivered on its initial promise. The reviewer has found the rebooted DC Universe films to be enjoyable, but Lanterns stands out as a standout example of what can be achieved when creators are given the freedom to be truly innovative within the genre. The storylines are not to be missed, each with their own engaging and interconnected narratives.",
