"summary": "Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has ordered the Managing Director of the Lagos Waste Management Authority, Dr Muyiwa Gbadegesin, to resign due to the ongoing waste crisis in the state, according to a source within the agency. The governor's dissatisfaction stems from the slow pace of waste evacuation and Gbadegesin's alleged failure to act promptly on directives aimed at addressing the situation. The waste management issue has been a growing concern in Lagos, with residents reporting worsening waste collection across various parts of the city, including Mushin, Egbeda, Surulere, Ajegunle, Ikorodu, Ojo, Obalende, Apapa, and Mile 2. The situation has raised concerns over environmental sanitation, public health, and the impact of the waste crisis on businesses and the state's image.",
