"account": "At least 18 individuals perished on Monday when the Iran-aligned Houthi group launched a missile and drone attack targeting a Yemeni government military training camp in Shabwa province, according to four government and medical sources. The assailants targeted soldiers engaged in a morning training exercise. The Yemeni government confirmed the attack utilized three ballistic missiles. The Houthis have been striking government-controlled areas of Yemen, including Aden airport and the presidential palace in the interim capital, in recent days. The missile and drone assault on the Maashiq presidential palace claimed the lives of five security personnel stationed there.\n\nThe Yemeni conflict began in 2014 when the Houthis overtook the capital, Sanaa, compelling the internationally recognized government to relocate to Aden. A Saudi-led military intervention ensued in 2015, resulting in years of warfare and a brutal stalemate until a truce was reached in 2022. However, this truce has since unraveled. Government forces have recently embarked on a mission to reclaim Houthi-held territories, progressing near the Bab Al Mandeb Strait, a crucial international shipping artery. The ongoing conflict has transformed into another battleground in the regional dispute ignited by tensions with Iran. The Houthis have persistently targeted Saudi Arabia with missiles and drones, striking airports, oil installations, and other vital infrastructure in retaliation.",
