"account": "Michael Carrick’s efforts to revive Manchester United after a poor start have not yielded the desired results, as the club continues to struggle in the 2026/27 Premier League season, according to PUNCH Online. After a 1-1 draw against Leeds United on Sunday, United fell to 13th place in the league, with only one win in their opening seven matches. The result marked a stark contrast to last season's third-place finish, with Carrick acknowledging that United had not reached their full potential, particularly in terms of possession. The team has only managed two wins in their first 10 matches across all competitions, while also suffering a notable defeat to Brighton in the Carabao Cup, which eliminated them from the competition. This early exit added to the growing concerns about United's ability to build on last season's progress. Carrick, appointed as interim coach in January, inherited a team that had struggled for consistency and was under pressure to improve. His early success included victories against Manchester City and Arsenal, which helped secure Champions League qualification and restore the club's momentum. Carrick's tactical adjustments, such as moving Bruno Fernandes into a more advanced role and maintaining a stable lineup, contributed to the team's resurgence. However, United's recent performances have raised doubts about their ability to challenge for domestic silverware and maintain their position in European competitions.",
