"account": "Six migrants, including a newborn baby, lost their lives when a speedboat transporting individuals from Turkey collided with a Greek coast guard vessel off the coast of Lesvos early Monday, according to Greek authorities. The Greek government has declared zero tolerance towards migrant smugglers. The incident took place approximately 3.5 nautical miles south of Agrilia, Lesvos. Rescuers recovered the bodies of four men, one woman, and an infant. Eight survivors were taken to the hospital. A 37-year-old Turkish national, who was among the survivors, was arrested and identified as the suspected smuggler and operator of the boat. Greek Shipping Minister Vassilis Kikilias blamed migrant traffickers for the fatalities, stating that evidence suggests the speedboat struck the coast guard vessel on its left side with its bow. The exact circumstances of the incident are still under investigation. Greece has long served as a major gateway for migrants and refugees from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. During 2015 and 2016, the country experienced the height of Europe's migration crisis, with nearly one million people arriving on its islands, primarily from Turkey.",
