"account": "The Lawrence Bishnoi gang, known for targeting Bollywood celebrities and politicians, continues to expand its hit list. In a recent incident, two men on a motorcycle fired shots outside the Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai, where actor Salman Khan resides. No one was injured, but the attack highlights the gang's persistent threats against the star.\n\nBack in 1998, Salman Khan faced accusations of illegally hunting endangered blackbucks in Rajasthan, leading to a conviction two decades later. Subsequently, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang issued a threat against him due to the poaching incident, involving a species sacred in the Bishnoi community. Since then, several high-profile individuals have been targeted by the gang, with Salman Khan being among them.\n\nIn 2018, the gang openly threatened to kill Salman Khan in court, and in June 2022, a warning letter was found near his residence, threatening his demise in a manner similar to that of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, who was killed in 2022. In September 2022, Punjab Police revealed that members of the gang were involved in an attempt to target Salman Khan in Banda.\n\nIn October 2024, two men on a motorcycle fired four rounds outside Salman Khan's first-floor home in Mumbai. The incident did not result in any injuries, but it emphasized the ongoing threat from the gang. Four men suspected of being involved in the 2024 firing were arrested following the claim of responsibility by Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence Bishnoi's brother.\n\nThe gang's reach extends beyond India, with the US and Canada declaring the gangster and his organization as a terrorist entity in 2025. The Bishnoi gang has also targeted other celebrities, including Kapil Sharma and his cafe in Canada, as well as Punjabi singers AP Dhillon and Gippy Grewal in Vancouver. Additionally, the gang has threatened Bollywood director Rohit Shetty and comedian Munawar Faruqui, with both incidents being foiled through police intervention.",
