"account": "Former President Jacob Zuma, 84, has been under hospital care for over a week after a routine medical examination. The MK Party, led by Zuma, initially stated on Saturday that he was \"healthy and jovial,\" preparing to resume work, and was recuperating at Netcare St Anne's Hospital in Pietermaritzburg. The party subsequently deleted this statement, leaving uncertainty about whether Zuma had been discharged.\n\nThe MK Party thanked the medical staff for their dedicated support and claimed that Zuma was actively participating in party matters. Zuma's daughter, Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, posted videos on her social media account, showing her father exercising with dumbbells, possibly to refute reports of his ill health. Party spokesman Sifiso Mahlangu and Jacob Zuma Foundation spokesperson Mzwanele Manyi have both used social media to share limited updates about Zuma's condition.\n\nMahlangu clarified that Zuma travels with an ambulance provided by the South African Military Health Service (SANDF), part of the Presidential Protection Service (PPS). He emphasized that the story of Zuma's discharge was false and intended to distract voters, particularly MKP members. Manyi dismissed reports of Zuma's discharge as fake news, stating that Zuma was recovering well in the hospital.",
