"summary": "Three aspirants have been disqualified from contesting executive positions within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Northern Region following a vetting exercise. This decision has raised concerns among some contestants, who argue that other candidates who allegedly do not meet the party’s eligibility criteria should also have been disqualified. The vetting process is part of the preparations for the NDC’s Northern Regional executive elections, with contestants expressing differing opinions on the procedure. While Deputy Communications Officer aspirant Abdallah Abu Safianu questioned the clearance of certain candidates, claiming they did not satisfy the requirements outlined in the party’s constitution, others welcomed the exercise, describing it as smooth and transparent. The Chairman of the Northern Regional Vetting Committee, Baba Jamal, has advised dissatisfied contestants to pursue their concerns through the party’s Appeals Committee and cautioned against indiscriminate placement of campaign posters.",
